Terms of Service
Last updated: June 3, 2026
1. Agreement
By creating an account or using Baru Booking ("Baru", the "Service") you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account.
3. The marketplace
Baru is a marketplace that connects customers with independent service providers. Baru is not the provider of the listed services, is not a party to any service agreement between a customer and a provider, and does not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any listing.
4. Customer responsibilities
- Provide accurate information when booking and communicating.
- Honor confirmed bookings or cancel within the provider's stated window.
- Treat providers respectfully and follow lawful instructions on site.
5. Provider responsibilities
- List services you are legally allowed to offer and hold any required licenses or insurance.
- Keep your profile, availability, and pricing accurate.
- Deliver services with reasonable care and professionalism.
- Comply with all applicable consumer-protection, tax, and employment laws.
6. Payments and subscriptions
Payments are processed by Stripe under Stripe's terms. Provider subscription plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can manage or cancel a subscription from your billing portal at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
7. Reviews and content
You may post reviews, messages, photos, and other content. You keep ownership of content you post but grant Baru a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute it on the Service. Content must be truthful and must not be unlawful, harassing, defamatory, sexually explicit, infringing, or otherwise prohibited under our community guidelines.
8. Prohibited use
- Fraud, impersonation, or circumventing safety features.
- Scraping, reverse engineering, or abusing the Service.
- Attempting to take bookings off-platform to avoid review systems or fees.
- Posting illegal content or content that violates third-party rights.
9. Account termination and deletion
You may delete your account at any time on the Delete Account page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that create risk for users.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Baru disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Baru and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) fees you paid Baru in the 12 months before the claim and (b) USD 100.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Baru against claims, losses, and expenses arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.
13. Disputes and governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Baru is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence give you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts. The specific governing-law jurisdiction and venue will be finalized by Baru's legal counsel and published here prior to public launch.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
